Richard Dawkins is my personal jesus
November 6th, 2006
I’ve been reading his newest book, The God Delusion, for about a week now. I think it is incredibly thought provoking. He is VERY good at making you take a step back, take a look at god, religion, and science and think about it. That is all he really wants, to make people think about it, and so do I.
As always, I want to set a few things straight. I am about to badmouth religion. So is Richard. Know that despite my feelings of religion, I would never judge a person because of their religion. I base my thoughts and judgments on a person’s actions, not on his beliefs. I think that some people need a religions dogma to satisfy their fear of the unknown. If you are one of those people (and you should know who you are) then by all means, do what you need to do. You have that right. And I have the right to say you’re wrong, but don’t worry, the Flying Spaghetti Monster (that’s my god), will forgive you.
