Tallahassee is pretty screwed up sometimes, but this is just ridiculous.

Many of you know of my complete disdain for the media in Tallahassee. It always seems to me that our anchors and writers are failed college students. The ones who come here for school and don’t have the skill to move away. Concurrently reading cue cards and breathing appears to be as difficult as giving birth while competing in the iron man triathlon.

Regardless, I will occasionally check out what’s going on locally, just to keep in the know. Usually it is fruitless, but every so often there is a real gem.

This is neither.

I read, under “breaking news,” mind you, that we had a clown and facepainting competition somewhere here in town. I submit: “WTF!?” I know FSU has a clown school. That’s cool if you’re into that kind of thing, but to actually conceive, organize and execute a competition of the dark arts of clowning is somehow beyond my imagination.
